Coopérative du lamanage du port de Marseille et du Golfe de Fos
The history of the Société Coopérative de Lamanage began in 1946. After the war, seven companies provided stevedoring services in the port of Marseille. To provide a more efficient service, the port authorities asked them to join forces to form a single entity: this was the birth of the Marseilles Port Boatmen’s Cooperative. With the creation of the Port of Fos, the work was divided between the Marseille Boatmen’s Cooperative and the Poli company. In 1983, the cooperative became part of Poli, and the company became the Société Coopérative du Lamanage des ports de Marseille et du Golfe de Fos. Since 2010, we have been members of the Association Nationale du Lmanage des Ports Français (ANLPF), alongside boatmen from the southern ports of Bastia, Sète and Toulon. The aim of our association is to defend the interests and rights of mooring companies, to communicate about the profession, to monitor changes in regulations, to encourage efficient economic development for member companies, to promote diversification of services, and to help organise mooring services in other ports.
